We're officially in the thick of holiday season and the best deals are NOW! It's a great time to take advantage of some deals on things for the home, or inspiration for your wish list! Here are some of our favorite things we found at Target. Take a look at these, and other goodies available online and in stores. Cyber deals end today! Layer up! Beds look great in layers, and it's very practical in the cooler season to have extra blankets on the bed. Down alternative blankets perform well and we liked the colors available in this one. We love white bedding, but sometimes it's nice to add a little color. Explore the options available in this item. Chairs can add a lot of personality to a space. They are great to add to the corner in a bedroom, living room or office - adding a pop of color and comfort to their new space. Instantly update your space by bringing in new chairs - it's a game changer! Barstools are a staple in most kitchens and are used heavily. It's not uncommon to have to replace them more frequently than other furniture items because they can take a beating. If you kitchen needs a barstool refresh, these are a great, updated option! This is my favorite deal for the home! Super charming, neutral, substantial chair... and it's half off! It works in a traditional or farmhouse style space and will provide that neutral backdrop that is great to work with in any space. Get it while it's available for this great price. Another amazing bargain that is 50% off! I love to use these tables around the house. Add baskets and they provide functional storage. Add a lamp for additional light and ambiance. And, a couple books stacked can add personality. I love to use them in staging and design. Our moodboard shows the 'rustic oak' version, but all of them are great. This is a great deal - two stylish lamps for this price! And, they include light bulbs! These are nice bedside lamps, or on side tables in the living room. It's hard to beat this deal. I'm definitely taking advantage of this one today. And now for the fun stuff - pillows! Nothing adds coziness to a space like pillows. This works with the green hue of the above mentioned chair, so we liked that. Keep in the mind the palette of your space (3-4 colors only) and play with options within your palette. Fun! Hope this provides some inspiration for your home and wish lists. Happy shopping!

-Amanda It's that time of year! Your kids and husband and Aunt Linda are going to ask what you want for Christmas. And if you're like me, you've got everything on your radar for the holiday.... EXCEPT for your own wish list. So... you can run with 'some socks'... or you can share this fabulous gift list to your loved ones. A few additions to a kitchen will transform this bustling zone in your house. Get uber-organized with these containers from Rubbermaid. Perfect for pantry or refrigerator, so you'll know exactly where to find everything! Take that wine outside! With these unbreakable stemless wine glasses, no need to worry about breaking your own 'no glass on the patio' rule. Or, let the kids drink their juice out of the 'fancy glasses' - what a treat! Don't forget this electric wine bottle opener to help uncork your wine bottles. Easy-peasy. Let's top off our mini kitchen makeover with a versatile wood cutting board. Cutting boards are used in lots of ways lately... prop it against your backsplash as a decorative item, arrange meets and cheeses on it and call it a charcuterie board, or you can just use it to cut things. It will soon become a favorite in your kitchen.
These white vases are a perfect trio as is, or you can mix them with other decor. Add a flower sprig for a sweet touch. Or arrange them on a side table, bookshelf or centerpiece. So versatile and timeless.
Freshen a sitting area by adding this square white tray to an ottoman. I like the shape of this tray, and it's great to have touches of white to brighten a space. Add this great coffee table book full of design inspiration (who doesn't love Joanna?) String wooden beads can be draped on large jars, trays, or a stack of books. It's a big design trend right now, and an easy, cheap upgrade to make! They add a special, natural touch to update your home decor. Greenery adds life and personality to a home. These faux potted plants are cute tucked on a side table next to a lamp, or on a bathroom counter. The best part - these plants won't die! Finally, this trio of books adds a casual touch of coziness. Perfect for a foyer table, it's a perfect welcome to great guests to your 'home sweet home'. I would enjoy receiving any of these as gifts, and I hope they inspire you this holiday season.

It's been said time and time again, one of the easiest and cheapest ways to make an impact on a room is with paint. But, when you have hundreds (thousands?) or paint colors to pick from, it can be a daunting task to pick the right one. If you have intentions of selling your home, we encourage you to go neutral! What does that mean? I just means that the wall color should not be the focal point of the room - it's the backdrop. When buyers walk through the home, you don't want them to say no to your house because the red accent wall was not their taste, or their couch won't work with the green wall in the family room. If you neutralize the wall color, they'll look beyond it and see the whole house. Still wondering what color to pick? We can help (and, there are many more options than beige). So you see, you have lots of GREAT options to pick from. They aren't boring beige - they are classic. Add interest to the space in pillows and soft surfaces. You won't be disappointed and your buyer will love it! If you have questions about your specific space, we are available to consult. Let us know if we can help!
We're going on week six of staying-at-home, and therefore working from home. I'm used to working from home - it's my normal routine for both my husband and I. He works in our home office, and I have a desk in our master bedroom - it's a system that has worked well for us. Our master is on the first floor, so if the kids need something, the dog needs to go outside, or someone rings the doorbell, I can easily jump up to take care of things. But, with the entire world working from home and no in-person meetings possible, Zoom calls are a new norm in this work at home world. What isn't ideal about my master bedroom/office set-up, is that I've become more aware of what is behind me - what other's see when I am on video. While I LOVE my bed and master bedroom decor, it doesn't seem like a professional view. I'd like to at least give the illusion that I have a professional work space (even though I'm very productive in my current space!). And, the windows behind me often just overwhelm the white balance of the room and make it impossible to get a good shot on the video screen. As I have sat on other calls, I started to take note of other office spaces and what seemed to work best, and decided to try to re-think my office setup for video calls. I knew that I wanted a space that was contained in a room with a door - I didn't want to use our family room or dining room for work calls. We have three kids and a dog at home and I didn't want to have to worry about them being in my space, or my calls disturbing their online learning environment. The best setup seemed to be desks that were parallel up to ten feet or so ahead of a wall - so your backdrop on video calls was the wall, perhaps with some artwork on it or a lightly decorated console table. I didn't have space to float a desk in our master (I tried, though!), so I started to think about other space available in our house. We have a guest bedroom that obviously isn't being used right now (it's used maybe two weeks out of the year). So I started to brainstorm ideas on how to better use that space. With some creative re-arranging of furniture, I was able to make room for a re-purposed desk area (actually a console table and a nightstand) and create a zone that will work much better for video calls. I'm going to continue to play with it by adding a monitor and different lighting options (and maybe new wall paint!), but so far it has worked really well! I probably won't use this new desk set-up every day (this is on our second floor, and I really enjoy being on the first floor so I can pop into mom mode if needed), but I will definitely use it for video calls. And, my kids could use it for their at-home school work and video calls. Friends - now is the time to be creative and resourceful and to use your space in whatever way works for your family. Do you need to create a playroom for your young kids to corral the toys and sound and give you a little distance? Do it! The kids will LOVE it and so will you. Utilize your spare bedrooms in new ways. Shove beds in a corner and make room for train tables and doll houses. No extra bedrooms? Have your kids share a room temporarily - it will be something exciting and new (like camp!) and you can use the available room for Toy Central. Do your kids need study space? Utilize console tables as desks. Are your college kids home? Make their room a dorm room - put the mini fridge and microwave you dragged home in there instead of trying to figure out where to store it. It will give them a little sense of college life that they are desperately missing. Do you have a FROG (Family Room Over Garage)? Put a tv in there and give your teens an optional space to spread out. Or create a work out space in your home - move your treadmill collecting dust out of the master bedroom corner and start using it! We've converted our dining room table to a puzzle/lego/homework table. Make your space work for you. Discover new ways to use your space. If you need help making sense of how you can use your space in new ways, let me know. We're here to help.
We are in unprecedented times and in the midst of a global health pandemic due to the Covid-19 virus. We are supporting social distancing efforts, so like all of you (we hope anyway!) we are spending allllll of our time at home, eating, cleaning up the kitchen, watching netflix, eating, social media surfing, eating, cleaning, sleeping - on repeat each day. So many aspects of our life are on hold - sports, traditional school, and social outings... But if you had plans to sell your home this spring, don't let this quarantine derail your hopes and dreams! Now is the perfect time to get your house ready to sell. You're at home all day, you can give it your undivided attention, and you'll be able to reap the benefits of it! Plus, homes are hitting the market, so proceed forward, don't let this situation stop you.
